Lola Karimova Tillyaeva handing a symbolic key to a child prodigy

Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva has inaugurated the Republican Children’s and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve of Rhythmic Gymnastics. The school will be training athletes from all over Uzbekistan for international sporting events.

In her speech at the opening ceremony on 27 March, Karimova-Tillyaeva said: “I am very delighted to say that the number of rhythmic gymnastics athletes is on the rise with every passing year not only in major cities, but also in the regions. The Republican School was established to become a stepping stone for every child involved in rhythmic gymnastics that sees her future in sports to realize her full potential in sports.”

Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva handed over a symbolic key to promising young gymnasts who will be representing the Uzbek sports on the international stage in future.

To date, twenty four girls from all of Uzbekistan’s regions and the city of Tashkent have been selected and enrolled in the sports school.
